Government proposes; a school of thought opposes; and nobody disposes. Maharashtra government's path-breaking Pre-Primary Act seems to have fallen into this classic rut. While the state administration seems to have virtually forgotten about it, several of the schools find it makes good business sense to obstruct the Act. After all who would wish to lose all those hefty deposits. In this merry-go-round of passing the buck the future of the tiny-tots seems to have become the first casualty. Despite the fact that the time for issuing forms is past, parents in several parts of the city are still not clear about the status of pre-primary admissions for the next academic year. There is complete chaos and confusion. We invite you, the parents, to write to us airing your helplessness, anger; to debate the issue and force the authorities all round to implement a good Act. You have a voice. Fax your letters to 2885827 or E-Mail to iemumbai@express.indexp.co.in
