VADODARA, Jan 4: Additional Chief Secretary, Gujarat, P K Lehri held a meeting of senior officials of 10 departments to educate them about the citizens’ charter — a booklet published by the government to make citizens aware of their rights — at the district collectorate here on Sunday.

District Collector Anil Mukim told Express Newsline that several senior officials from industries, police, panchayat, finance and education participated in the meeting and discussed a number of issues pertaining to the charter.

Exhorting the officials to strive to satisfy citizens’ needs, Lehri said a beginning can be made by properly distributing the charter and executing it with maximum efforts. He reminded officials of the State government’s commitment to serve the people.

Besides senior officials of other departments and Vadodara Police Commissioner J Mahapatra, Kheda Collector Bhagesh Jha, VMC Commissioner G R Aloria, Vadodara District Development Officer Anju Sharma and District Deputy Resident Collector C R Kharsan participated in the meet.
