MUMBAI, NOV 26: Left-arm spinner Kiran Adhav snapped up four wickets for 52 runs as Maharashtra bowled out hosts Mumbai for a modest 216 in their first innings on the opening day of the three-day West Zone Vijay Merchant u-16 trophy cricket match at the Brabourne Stadium here today.
Adhav sent back opener Swapnaj Thakur, who top-scored for the home team by making a 100-ball 128 with 12 boundaries, Paul Valthaty (30 off 53 balls), Sangram Bagul and last man Saurabh Ambatkar.
The left-arm tweaker was well-supported by medium-pacer Vishal Sonawane (2 for 46) and leg spinner Shirish Kamthe (2 for 34) as Mumbai, who won the toss, were skittled out in the 77th over. At close, the visitors had made 38 for two wickets in reply off 18 overs.
