NEW DELHI, NOV 6: In a bid to reach a consensus on the selection of the Chief Minister of the newly created state of Uttaranchal, Home Minister L K Advani today held consultations with senior BJP leaders Kedar Singh Fonia and Swami Nityanand.

The two leaders, former minister Fonia and sitting MLC Nityanand met Advani and discussed the formation of the government in the state. However, the two declined to disclose what they discussed.

Nityanand merely told reporters that a party meeting at Dehradun on November 8 would decide everything, including who would be the next chief minister of the state.
