The Supreme Court on Friday struck down a petition seeking relaxation in use of loudspeakers for the Ganesh immersion tomorrow, this time from two Pune corporators. Even as that petition was rejected, the Gujarat government filed a a petition seeking relaxation in the ban for the Navratras.
The bench of Justices Ashok Bhan and S.B. Sinha refused to pass an order on the Gujarat petition but asked the state government to mention it before the Chief Justice’s court.
