GU Court wants Singh recalled
Members of University Court have demanded Governor Anshuman Singh’s removal, saying they will send 100 telegram daily to the President to recall Singh and save `Gujarat Education’. Meanwhile, Gujarat University College Management Association, Gujarat University Principals’ Association, Gujarat University Area Teachers’ Association (GUATA) and non-teaching associations attached to the university will on Monday demonstrate on the campus against vice-chancellor S B Vora’s dismissal. Members of Executive Council, Academic Council, University Court and pro vice-chancellor K S Shastri, in his capacity as GUATA president, are expected to participate. National Students’ Union of India and Maha Gujarat Chhatra Parishad, the student wing of the Rashtriya Janata Party, will also join.

City trader, son die in Nathdwara
A cloth merchant and his 21-year-old son were killed in an accident on the Udaipur Road, near Nathdwara in Rajashthan on Saturday. Officials said on Sunday wholesaler Jagdish Ramnarayan Soni, of Dharmayug Colony in Kankaria, was returning to Udaipur from Nathdrawa with his family in a jeep. Near Nathdrawa, a truck collided head-on with the jeep, killing Jagdish, 50, and his son Prerak on the spot. One of Jagdish’s relatives from Rajkot was also killed. The injured hospitalised.

AC coach
A second AC coach is being attached to 9263 Porbandar-Delhi weekly train on November 19, for which reservations begin on Monday. Meanwhile, Exhibition-on-Wheels, depicting growth and development of Indian Railway since Independence, is reaching Ahmedabad on November 21. It reaches Vadodara on Monday.
