PANCHKULA, Nov 19: An AIDS awareness programme targetting truck drivers, taxi drivers, dhaba owners and the youth was organised at Kalka today.

About 125 persons participated in the programme which was organised by the Inner Wheel Club of Chandigarh and Seva Bharti.

The topics covered included "General health and hygiene", "STD symptoms and mode of transmission", "HIV-AIDS symptoms and mode of transmission" and "Safe sex".

An exhibition was also organised and literature was distributed on the occasion. The guest of honour, Yudhveer Singh, SDM Kalka while speaking on the occasion said that all attempts should be made to avoid unhealthy sexual relations and the accompanying mental trauma.
