‘Airport bomber is cleric’

Pakistani officials have identified Muhammad Yunous, a cleric of a mosque in Dera Ismail Khan in Punjab province, as the bomber who tried to gatecrash into the Islamabad airport on Feb 6. The bomber, who died in the explosion, had close links with a militant group, Geo TV quoted Interior Ministry officials as saying on Wednesday.

A cash reward of Rs 1 million advertised in the media had reportedly helped the police to trace his identity.
