CHANDIGARH, Nov 16: The local unit of All India Shiromani Akali Dal (AISAD) has criticised the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) for not sending any Sikh jatha to Pakistan. In a joint statement issued here today, the local unit president of the AISAD, Joginder Singh Sawhney, and general secretary M.S. Kohli, said that since a number of Sikhs in the country were interested in going to Pakistan, the SGPC decision (of not sending the jatha) was "anti-Sikh" and "not in the interest of Sikhs".

The AISAD local unit has requested the SGPC to review its decision of not sending Sikh jathas to Pakistan.
