CHANDIGARH, Oct 12: The Akali Dal is keen to contest forthcoming Vidhan Sabha elections in Delhi and Rajasthan in alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party.

The party today constituted two committees two have seat adjustment with the BJP in the two states.

Party secretary Kirpal Singh Badungar said the committee for Delhi poll would comprise party secretary general Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa, Balwinder Singh Bhunder and Prem Singh Chandumajra, both general secretaries, Delhi Akali Dal chief Avtar Singh Hit and Paramjit Singh Sarna.

The committee for Rajasthan would have Surjit Singh Kang as members besides Dhindsa, Bhunder and Chandumajra.

Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal has reconstituted Delhi unit of the Akali Dal with Hit as its president and Avtar Singh, Mohinder Singh Matharoo, Inderpal Singh Khalsa, Kuldip Singh Bhogal, Bhupinder Singh Anand, Nirvair Singh and Harinderpal Singh as members of the working committee.
