They are willing to go any lengths for publicity. But sometimes it means they have to swallow their pride and their words. Incidents that can, and have, taken place:

  • They say that Dilip Kumar has been signed to play Abhishek Bachchan’s father in Aakhri Mughal. Is the Big B, who hasn’t given up dancing around trees, trying for the elder brother’s role? Hey just kidding! The producers won’t buy that.
  • When Sanjay Dutt and Namrata Shirodkar were signed for Vaastav it was clear the film would need all the publicity it could get. At the launch, the PRO promised that Sanjay would be there but he didn’t show up. Not his fault — he wasn’t scheduled to shoot that day.
  • They said Satya was a serious film with no songs. But na, na karte five songs have already been added. From the reports that have trickled in, this film may just bring Urmila back into the limelight.
