CHANDIGARH, Jan 25: The Congress candidate from Patiala Lok Sabha constituency, Amrinder Singh, was accorded a warm welcome here today by prominent lawyers of the City, who also pledged to actively campaign for him at Patiala. Amrinder Singh was invited by former Punjab additional advocate general, Kuljeet Singh Sidhu and S.S. Sidhu.

Amrinder later informed the gathering about the programmes and policies of the Congress and hoped for a Congress victory in the forthcoming elections.

Among others who attended today’s meeting included Tej Parkash Singh, son of former CM Beant Singh, former Punjab AGs and addl. AGs, Davinder Singh Jandiala, Manjeet Singh Dhillon, Tarlok Singh Grewal, Karan Singh Cheema, High Bar Association’s president and vice president Ravinder Chopra and Avtar Singh Khehra resp. besides president of the Punjab Legal Cell, R.L. Batta, Income Tax Bar advocates Chaman Lal Sharma and Amarjit Sethi and president of CAT Bar Association, G.S. Bal.
