ARIZONA, Aug 10: An Amtrak train carrying about 300 passengers derailed Saturday while crossing a bridge over a flooded wash in north-western Arizona. No one was killed. About 50 people were seriously injured, Mohave county sheriff’s spokeswoman Jody Schanaman said. About 90 others had minor injuries. Officials conducted a search of the train and found no fatalities.
“The rainfall caused the bridge to shift, and as the train went over it, it buckled,” she said.
