Hyderabad, Dec 4: Amid a series of lop-sided encounters, two ties stood out on the inaugural day of the four-day Indian Oil Servo Asian Satellite badminton tournament at here today.

One saw the exit of the second seed Sachin Ratti in the second round while the other ended on a sad note when Vijay Lancy had to leave the court limping after he twisted his left ankle, after keeping Ajit Wijetilak 85 minutes on court.

Ratti lost to Chetan Anand 12-15, 8-15.
