PUNE, Jan 31: In a volte face, former Pune MP Anna Joshi today withdrew his resignation from the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) and agreed to actively campaign for the BJP-Shiv Sena sponsored candidate Suresh Kalmadi during the Lok Sabha elections.
“He (Joshi) has dropped the idea of contesting the elections as a rebel. On the other hand Anna would spearhead the election campaign of Kalmadi,” BJP spokesman Prakash Javdekar announced at the press conference here today.

According to Javdekar, Munde had a telephonic talk with Joshi last night following which Joshi had called on the Deputy Chief Minister at his residence in Mumbai, this afternoon. “The talks were fruitful, as expected by Munde,” Javdekar said.
