Another blast in Godhra, 8 injured

At least eight persons were injured in a crude bomb explosion today at the State Transport Bus Terminus in Lunawada village, 40 km from here, Superintendent of Police (Panchmahal) Narsimha Kumar said.

The second explosion in the region within 26-hours took place at around 7:45 pm. ‘‘There is a marked similarity between the two explosions,’’ Kumar said adding that two of the injured are staff members of the State Transport Corporation.

Meanwhile, a team from Anti-Dacoity Unit of Godhra police today recorded the statement of a person injured in yesterday’s blast. The material evidences collected from the spot have been sent to State Forensic Science Laboratory at Ahmedabad, police said.
