Fashion focus seems to have shifted from the ankle to the arm. The anklet has been popular for some time, but now the arm is the new highlight. If you’re looking out for tribal chic, then this is the look to go for.
Tarun Tahiliani has used the bajuband with his bejewelled saris. While Amisha Patel created fashion faux pas history with her elaborate bajuband which had a yard long fabric attached. So, while it may look elegant, it can also look extremely outlandish when worn wrong. Needless to say, one needs well-toned arms.
Says designer Jattinn Kochhar: “A bajuband looks very nice with a plain chiffon or georgette sari. It can also be worn with a crisp cotton tunic with pants.” He recommends personalising the bajuband . “One can imaginatively use an old vintage coin tied around a thread to create a unique accessory.”
