The Army will continue its counter-insurgency operations in Assam till a ceasefire is reached with the banned militant outfit ULFA, GOC-in-C Eastern command Lt-Gen Arvind Sharma said on Thursday. Sharma said that till there was any instruction from the government, counter-insurgency operations by the Army would continue in Assam. He said it was to be kept in mind before reaching a ceasefire that ULFA went underground after Operation Bajrang in 1991. — PTI
