KUALA LUMPUR, July 24: The Association of SouthEast Asian Nations (ASEAN) may face difficulties in dealing with the European Union (EU) with the inclusion of Myanmar, Philippine Foreign Secretary Domingo Siazon said today.He said it was up to the EU to bring up matters regarding Myanmar with ASEAN.``There may be difficulties when dealing with specific (EU) countries or specific factions. We will deal with those one by one,'' Siazon said.He said ASEAN, however, was against discrimination against any of its members.Myanmar and Laos joined Brunei, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines and Vietnam yesterday.Meanwhile, Cambodia has expressed disappointment over its exclusion in today's expansion of ASEAN, but said it was hopeful of joining the nine-nation body in the near future.``Of course one has to be disappointed but one has to understand the situation also. So, we wait,'' Cambodia's Foreign Minister said.Phnom Penh blastA grenade tore through the home of an interior ministry official in the Cambodian capital Phnom Penh early today, raising fears of a terrorist campaign against coup leader Hun Sen. The attack comes in the wake of an impassioned appeal made by Hun Sen for universal recognition of his regime.Nobody was hurt in the blast, but police discovered at least four undetonated hand grenades inside the home of the unidentified ministry official.
