GUWAHATI, SEPT 28: Assam Government on Tuesday urged the banned United Liberation Front of Assam (ULFA) to give up violence and resolve their grievances in a democratic manner.In a statement issued here, the state government said it favoured a peaceful resolve of the crisis and denied that it had issued any order on the secret killing of ULFA leaders as reported in a section of the local media.``The government does not have the sick mentality like the ULFA that they will stoop to their level and indulge in such unlawful activities,'' the statement said.
