Asylum deaths: Patient held for burning inmates

The Rajasthan police has arrested a mentally challenged person today for allegedly burning to death two of his fellow inmates in a government mental hospital here. Two mentally challenged persons Sauhvik and Kalu were found murdered in a store room of the hospital early yesterday.

Khan, who has criminal record, was named by the hospital staff and other patients as the accused in the murders, SP Sanjay Agarwal said. The reason behind the twin murders was yet to be ascertained as Khan was not in a state to give any statement, he said.
