Two months after he lamented old leaders being given the cold shoulder in BJP, former prime minister Atal Behari Vajpayee today hinted that “indolence and overactivism” had to be curbed in the party to achieve goals.
“The question, whither the new generation, keeps perplexing us. Somewhere, there is indolence, somewhere hyperactivity, more than what is required,” Vajpayee said at the launch of party journal Kamal Sandesh’s special issue Samadhan. “This,” according to him, “has to be changed”. The former PM felt action must be linked to the goal and no opportunity given for a disconnect.
