Police have taken into custody the main accused in an attempt to poison senior AP IAS official D. Murali Krishna. The accused, Ramulu, the official’s sacked servant, was arrested from his village yesterday, police said. Krishna, Principal Secretary of General Administration Department (GAD), was allegedly served poisoned milk on September 23 by his servant Ramu. On seeing the milk turn brown, Krishna grew suspicious and lodged a complaint with Banjara Hills police which led to Ramu’s arrest.Police recovered a bottle with some liquid, which was analysed to be poison. When questioned, Ramu said he had mixed some powder in the milk at the behest of Ramulu, who was sacked by Krishna.
