MUMBAI, SEPT 15: The government needs to replace the industrial policy with a comprehensive competition policy to strengthen Indian corporations to face the challenges of globalisation. The policy would have to cover trade, fiscal, monetary policy and policies regarding education and research and development, CII president and chairman of Bajaj Auto, Rahul Bajaj, said on Tuesday.

He was addressing the gathering after receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award from Rotary Club here. Warning against the dangers of globalisation, he said the gains would be usurped primarily by the developed world unless political, business and intellectual leaders formulated steps to enable Indian corporations to grab opportunities.
