BAI calendar released

BANGALORE, July 22: Mumbai would be staging the Rs 4-6 lakh Senior Grand Prix badminton finals in December, according to the calendar released by the Badminton Association of India (BAI) here today. The calendar of events for eight months commences from August.

Following is the schedule

September 1-5: ABC Senior Championships, Bangkok (Thailand)

Sept 9-21: Commonwealth Games, Kuala Lumpur Malaysia)

Sept 24-30: Zonal Inter-State in six zones.

October 5-11: Junior Worlds, Melbourne (Australia)

Oct 5-9: National Games, Imphal (Manipur)

Oct 13-16: Senior Indian Grand Prix (prize money Rs 4 lakhs) at Bhiwani, (Haryana)

Oct 27-30: Junior Indian Grand Prix (Rs 3 lakh) at Indore (MP)
