For Meryl Joy, hair stylist at Holiday Inn, the love of family and friends tops her list of must haves. ``I feel that family makes a person what he is and their support and love is paramount to me.''Besides her family, her work is what she simply cannot do without. ``Hairstyling is so very creative. Besides it also gives me the chance to meet so many different kinds of people. In the half hour that they are with you, they share so much of their lives that its almost like you knew them for years. I think it has something to do with the vibes we give out or that we listen well that makes them talk so much.Animals are her other love. ``I have a pet dog, but I love all animals. They are so innocent and give their love unconditionally. I simply would die if I could not share that with an animal.''``I also cannot do without my music. Music is something that helps one to let go, to unwind. It has the ability to pep me up when I am depressed and extend my joy when I am happy. ``Every single day when I get home, I take half an hour off when I am alone with myself and my thoughts. I find it very relaxing and do not like any intrusions. Give me all this and I don't need anymore in life.''
