
RAJKOT, NOV 9: A chanceless unbeaten 104 by Jacob Martin and second wicket partnership of 125 between RA Swaroop and C Williams helped Baroda amass 509 on the final day of the four day West Zone Ranji trophy match against Saurashtra which ended in a tame draw here at the Municipal Corporation ground today.

Kumble hits ton
HYDERABAD: A fine 113 by skipper Anil Kumble enabled Karnataka to take a first innings lead and five points from their drawn South-Zone league match against Hyderabad at the Secunderabad Gymkhana ground here today.
The visitors declared their first innings at 446 for nine in reply to the host’s 433. The two captains Mohammed Azharuddin and Kumble then agreed to call off the match after the sixth mandatory over.

KOCHI: Andhra Pradesh collected five points by virtue of their first innings lead as the four-day South Zone cricket league match between Kerala and Andhra ended in a draw, here today Resuming their first innings at the overnight score of 159 for eight, hosts Kerala could add only four more to take the score to 163 all out conceding a first innings lead of 17 runs to Andhra. Andhra began their second innings on a dismal note and were all out for a paltry 33 runs.

Eight-wkt win for Bengal
BALASORE: Overcoming shifting mood of the pitch which created havoc for the batsmen, Bengal won a facile eight-wicket victory over Orissa on the last day of their four-day East Zone match played at the Permit ground here today. Bengal ended the match at 151 for two.

Assam beat Tripura
GUWAHATI: Assam scored a facile six wicket victory over Tripura in the four day Ranji Trophy match which ended at the Maligaon Railway Stadium here today. Rajinder Singh (36 not out) and captain Subhrajit Saikia (31) ensured a smooth victory, in 29.1 overs, for the host team.

Haryana start well
FARIDABAD: Captalising on an early reprieve, Haryana skipper Ajay Jadeja scored a sedate unbeaten 134 to help his side reach 277 for six against Services on the opening day of the four day North Zone Ranji trophy league tie at Nahar Singh Stadium here today.
