Hyderabad, Nov. 6: The New Zealand team meant business. Fresh from their win in Rajkot, they had strenuous two-hour net session on arrival on Saturday. Manager Jeff Crowe and captain Stephen Fleming stayed back in their rooms. The Indians preferred to come later in the evening.
Talking to mediapersons, New Zealand coach David Trist exuded confidence. `I think we did better in the sub-continent than some of the top class teams which suffered defeats by wider margins than us."
About youngster Scott Styris, Trist said, “he really bowled well. Any youngster who comes and gets Tendulkar out within his first four overs, would feel pretty satisfactory.”
The injury to Dion Nash is the only worry. “It is sad that he has had problems with recurrence of back injury. But we will await the medico opinion before we can give any further information to the media."
Trist said the wicket here looked to be a good one-day track. "The slower outfield and bigger boundary may not offer the same amount of runs as Rajkot, but I am sure batting would dominate."
