Beant’s birth anniversary observed

PATIALA, Feb 18: The District Congress Commitee today organised a rally in connection with the birth anniversary of former Chief Minister late Beant Singh here at Chhoti Baradari.

Jaswant Kaur, widow of late Beant Singh, led the Congress workers to statue of late leader where they garlanded it. Others, who garlanded the statue included Tej Parkash Singh, MLA, Gurkanwal Kaur, president, Punjab Pradesh Mahila Congress, Maharani Parneet Kaur, Bir Devinder Singh, general secretary, Punjab Pardesh Congress and Ved Parkash Gupta, president of District Congress Committee Urban.

The workers’ rally was also attended by the workers of the INTUC and Subordinate Services Federation. According to the president of District Congress Committee (Urban), Sanjeev Sharma, the youth workers took a pledge to work to maintain unity and integrity of the country at any cost.
