
Bengal piled on misery on Mumbai on the second day of their super league tie at the Eden Gardens. An unbeaten 182 from M Tiwari, century by Abhishek Jhunjhunwala (114) and half-centuries from A P Chakraborty, LR Shukla saw Bengal cruise to a massive 541 for six at stumps.

Karnataka in command
Mysore: Karnataka tightened the noose on Haryana with a steady bowling effort on the second day of their Ranji Trophy super league tie. Not a single batsman from Haryana crossed the half-century mark as they were reduced to 176 for 6 wickets at stumps. Earlier Karnataka resuming from their overnight score of 301 for 6 could only add 70 more to their total.

Ravnit, Goel in full flow
Mohali: A solid double century partnership between opener Ravnit Rickey and K Goel put Punjab at the drivers seat on day two of their super league tie against Gujarat. Ravneet Rickey is still going steady with an unbeaten 142 while Goel missed his ton when he was snared by Majumdar after making 96.

Rajasthan make steady start
Jaipur: Rajasthan made a steady start in reply to Hyderabad’s challenging 385 all out in their super league tie. At stumps opener Khoda was unbeaten on 47 along with NS Doru who made 31. Earlier M Aslam captured 5 wickets for 90 runs to restrict the visitors who were 246 for 5 at the end of Day One.

Baroda hold upper hand
Rajkot: Connor Williams missed his double ton by a whisker (198) but that did not stop Baroda from seizing the initiative from Saurashtra. Baroda folded up for 406 while Saurashtra made a firm start in their reply. At stumps the hosts rode to 122 for 2 wickets on back of half-centuries by opener S Jogiyani and Shitanshu Kotak.

Vijay puts TN in command
Chennai: A dominating 179 by opener M Vijay Krishna and a half-century by S Sarath (53) propelled Tamil Nadu to a mammoth 474 for 9 against Andhra Pradesh in a super league tie. Vijay Krishna carried on from where he left on day 1 and completed his ton and then on cut loose to plunder 173. In reply AP were 21 for 1 at stumps.
