Delhi speedster Amit Bhandari, named to replaced an injured Ashish Nehra, will not reach Pakistan in time to play the third one-day international, scheduled at Peshawar tomorrow. Despite making efforts to get a flight ticket to Pakistan since yesterday afternoon — soon after he received news of his inclusion in the team — Bhandari could manage only the 1 pm flight to Lahore on Friday.

‘‘Since direct flight to Peshawar was not available, they (BCCI tour operators) tried various other options. But things didn’t work. Therefore, I’ll reach Lahore tomorrow afternoon,’’ Bhandari said this evening.

Meanwhile, the kit (apparels) for the cricketer arrived from Bangalore today.

The last two games of the five-match one-day series will be played at Lahore on March 21 and 24.
