Bhupathi out; Yuki continues dream run

Mahesh Bhupathi and partner Mark Knowles of Bahamas were knocked out of the Australian Open when they lost 4-6, 4-6 to Israeli eighth seeds Jonathan Erlich and Andy Ram in the men’s doubles semi-finals here today.

Meanwhile, Yuki Bhambri (picture left) continued his impressive run in the junior singles to enter the semi-finals, defeating Britain’s third seed Daniel Evans 7-6 (5), 4-6, 6-3. The eighth-seed will now clash with fifth seed local Bernard Tomic. Tomic shocked top seed Cesar Ramirez of Mexico 6-3, 6-4 today.
