Superstar Amitabh Bachchan belongs to the entire country and cannot be associated with just one region, feels newcomer Neil Nitin Mukesh who made his acting debut last year with the critically acclaimed thriller flick Johny Gaddar.

“Film actors entertain the audience of the whole country, no matter which part of it they represent,” Neil said in reply to questions seeking his reaction to MNS Chief Raj Thackeray’s controversial remarks against the superstar.

“It is absolutely wrong to say that the Shehenshah of Bollywood Amitabh Bachchan belongs only to Uttar Pradesh and has no love for Mumbai”, Neil, who is the grandson of the legendary playback singer of yesteryears Mukesh, said.

The actor, who was here to take part in a children’s programme at a local school maintained that film artistes should not be linked up with a particular region, religion or caste.

Denying that there was ‘dynasty-rule’ in Bollywood, the young actor said had there been dynasty rule people like Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar, who don’t come from a family of film personalities, would not have made it big in the industry.
