MUMBAI, October 22: Bijal Desai and Nirali Maniar emerged supreme in the men’s and women’s sections, respectively, of the Inter-Collegiate table tennis championships at the University Pavilion on Wednesday.

Results: Men’s singles (final): Bijal Desai (KJ Somaiya) bt Kaizad Khandadia (Jai Hind) 21-17, 22-24, 17-21, 21-19, 21-7. 3rd place: Vivek Mahajan (Sanghavi) bt Mushir Ulde (Jai Hind) 21-18, 21-11.

Women’s singles (final): Nirali Maniar (Sydenhan) bt Anagha Bhave (Podar) 21-17, 21-13, 21-14. 3rd place: Poorti Kulkarni (MMK) bt Devika Thatte (CHM) 21-18, 21-17.
