
Thiruvananthapuram, Dec 24: Two BJP supporters were hacked and country bombs hurled at the party district office, allegedly by workers of the CPI (M) here today, in an apparant retaliation for yesterday’s attack on the cpi-m office at pettah in the city.
Police said two bjp supporters were injured, when a mob attacked them at pettah. They also threw country bombs at the party office at spencer junction. Furniture and other office equipment were damaged in the attack.
Last night, about 50 people, said to be belonging to the rss, threw petrol bombs at the cpi (m) office at pettah after chasing away two constables on duty, soon after a function, attended by state finance minister t sivadasa menon at the junction. The windows of the office were damaged in the attack.
Later, the assailants ransacked the nearby shops and threw stones at vehicles and hacked a video shop owner at chakkai. Three people, including a police constable was injured in the incidents.
