The BJP today asked the Election Commission to adopt the same ‘‘tough’’ attitude towards the Madhya Pradesh government as it did against Gujarat during the Assembly polls. BJP parliamentary party spokesman V.K. Malhotra said that in order to ensure free and fair polls in MP, the EC should force Chief Minister Digvijay Singh to take action against officials who were responsible for irregularities in electoral rolls.
