BJP wants narco-test of ATS officials

BJP's CM candidate for Delhi V K Malhotra has demanded for narco test of the officials of the ATS.

Questioning the authenticity of probe into Malegoan blasts, BJP’s Chief Ministerial candidate for Delhi V K Malhotra on Monday made a curious demand for narco test of the officials of Maharashtra’s Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) to ‘find out on whose directions they were working’.

The senior BJP leader alleged that “the ATS officials are trying to unnecessarily harass the saints, which shows that they (ATS officials) are all out to give a new look to terrorism.”

The investigations being carried out by the ATS in the Malegaon case are “politically motivated”, alleged the Deputy Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha at a press conference in.

“The ATS official should undergo narco-tests so that it can be probed on whose directions they are working,” Malhotra said.

He alleged that Congress is ‘defaming’ the country by accusing saints of being terrorists even when the entire world is seeing Pakistan and Bangladesh as a hub of terrorism.

The BJP leader took a dig at the Congress party for its ‘silence’ on Batla encounter case and alleged that “in the name of elections no more arrests have been made so far.”

“The Congress government has virtually stopped further inquiry into the Batla case while its all attention is on the Pragya case,” Malhotra alleged.
