NEW DELHI, January 11: Shravani Sen, 22, who had suffered severe burn injuries and a limb amputation as a result of the January 10 blast succumbed to her injuries at the resuscitation ward of the Lok Nayak Hospital today.

“Shravani, who worked as a steno with the ICCR, along with two other friends Kumari Tiga and Amarjit had gone to buy fruits at the site when the incident occurred,” said a colleague who had come to see Kumari Tiga.

“I had gone with my friends for a regular afternoon stroll when the incident occurred,” said Tiga, who is undergoing treatment in the burns section of the hospital.

“The doctors here are not attending to me properly. Today I had to wait for four hours to get my dressing done,” lamented Nissar Ahmed, 42, who has severe burn injuries on his legs. He was on his way to order lunch when the explosion took place.
