July 9: The National Federation of the Blind, an organisation run by the vision impaired, will take out a morcha tomorrow to protest against the state government’s attitude towards the blind. Starting from Azad Maidan at 3 pm, the morcha will proceed to Mantralaya to meet the CM.

According to Dattatray Jadhav, general secretary of the organisation, over 500 members from all over Maharashtra will participate in the morcha. The demands of the federation include the filling of reserved posts in the employment sector, a reservation for the blind in housing schemes, a fair decision on the question of blind hawkers, decision to conduct public commission examinations in Braille script instead of using a writer, among others.
