CHANDIGARH, Feb 18: When Om Prakash left his 15-year-old mentally unstable son, Anup, with his daughter at his home in Bapu Dham Colony, Sector 26, on December 12, 1998, little did he know that he would not see his son to date.

A driver with the Hind Motors, Om Prakash has been running from pillar to post to locate his son. To add to this widower’s woes, even if Anup is located, the mentally unstable boy would be able to utter only words like, “didi”, “bhayia”, “papa” and “uncle”, and would fail to identify himself. The 5′ 4" tall Anup, lovingly called Anu, was wearing grey trousers and a blue shirt, and had on a pair of chappals, when he stepped out of his home unnoticed.
