GURDASPUR, Aug 25: Police today claimed to have solved cases of two bomb explosions in buses at Pathankot and one in a train at Ambala last year with the arrest of Khalistan Zindabad Force (KZF) top terrorist Sukhjinder Singh Johal.
Stating this here, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Gaurav Yadav said Sukhjinder Singh, a resident of Wadala Johal village in Amritsar district, was arrested from Kotli village located outside Pathankot town last night. One pistol, a few bullets and two hand grenades were recovered from him.
Sukhjinder told police that KZF chief Ranjit Singh alias Neera personally planted the bomb in a Jammu and Kashmir government bus at Pathankot on April 6. He also disclosed that another KZF terrorist Attar Singh of Kotli had accompanied Ranjit.
The SSP said the second bomb was planted on June 6 in a private bus at Pathankot by Parmjit Singh of Babbar Khalsa outfit along with Attar Singh, as part of a joint operation of the two terrorist groups. Parmjit has already been arrested by Jammu police, he added.
Yadav said the train bomb blast at Ambala on December 2 last year was also the handiwork of KZF. Sukhjinder disclosed that after the explosion, KZF terrorist Satpal Singh had gone to Kathmandu in Nepal and met an officer of Pakistan Inter-services Intelligence (ISI) agency, working under the cover of a secretary in the Pakistan Embassy there.
