BSES sets up environ body

MUMBAI, June 11: BSES Ltd has constituted a Committee of Directors (Environment). In order to give right priority and thrust to its environment responsibilities, on the eve of the World Environment Day, the BSES board has decided to constitute the environmental body which will have an outside board member as chairman with a whole-time technical director and two non-executive members of the board as members of the committee, said a company statement.

BSES has already constituted board committees on audit, investment, shares and compensation in order to bring about transparency in decision making.The present Management Information System (MIS) provides for detailed monitoring of environmental data at the level of project general manager on day to day basis, a weekly monitoring at the level of technical director.
