BSNL’s expert group to chalk out ISD strategy

Close on the heels of receiving government’s nod for an international long distance foray, state-owned BSNL has decided to set up a group to workout its ISD strategy.

BSNL is setting up a group comrising three to four members to draw up its ILD blue-print and to work on various aspects of the long distance service launch, a top BSNL official told PTI here.

The internal group would chalk-out an action plan for its ILD foray, such as setting up of points of presence and equipment installation, they pointed out.

BSNL’s proposal for foraying into international long distance services arena, was cleared by the department of telecom (DOT) in January-end.
