CHANDIGARH, Nov 6: Central Air Command beat Southern Air Command 2-1 in the Air Force Inter-Command hockey championship being held at Sector 42 Hockey Stadium.

CAC shot into the lead through Amrik Singh in the 41st minute but the lead was shortlived as S Yasuda netted a goal for SAC in the 53rd minute (1-1). Nine minutes later Mangat Singh’s field goal saw them through (2-1).

In the second match of the day, Training Command lost to Eastern Air Command 1-2. Both the teams were 1-1 each at the end of the stipulated period. In the extra time Parveen got the golden goal for EAC in the 82nd minute.

Parminder (60th) scored for EAC while AK Dubey (40th) got the lone goal for TC.
