The expenditure on the helicopter,leased out by the Punjab government, for CM Capt Amarinder Singh has worked out to a whopping Rs 5.25 crore in the period of Feb 2002-03, say official figures.

Senior SAD (Badal) leaders have expressed their outrage at this “wastage”. Gidderbaha MLA M.S. Badal charged that during the HP elections ‘‘the CM has been using it like a taxi to Patiala and New Delhi’’.
