CHANDIGARH, Jan 29: The Class X exams of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will commence on March 5 with the English paper. The students of Class XII will appear in their first paper of English on March 4.The exams will be held in the morning from 10.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. The English paper of Class X students will be followed by Social Science exam on March 9. On March 12, the Commerce exam will be conducted, including the elements of business, elements of book-keeping and type-writing, both in English and Hindi. The Science exam, with and without the practicals, will be held on March 16.With a gap of three days, Mathematics exam will be conducted on March 20. Urdu, Bengali, Punjabi and other languages, including music exam, will be held on March 24. Arabic and Sanskrit exam will be held on March 22 and Hindi on March 26, while the last exam will be of Sindhi, Portuguese, Home Science and Spanish on March 31. The Hindi, French, Spanish elective and core exam is scheduled to be held on March 6, Business Studies on March 22, Physical Education on March 23, Mathematics on March 30, Sanskrit and Nepali elective and core on March 31, Psychology on April 1, Home Science, Applied Physics and Electrical Engineering on April 3 and Sociology on April 6.The results of both Class X and Class XII will be declared in June.Meanwhile, the Class X exams of Punjab School Education Board will commence from March 4 with English paper, and that of Class XII on March 9, also with English paper. The schedule of exams for Class X is Health Science on March 5, Punjabi A, History and Culture of Punjab on March 6, Mathematics, Music and Stitching on March 9. The last exam to be held on March 18 will be of Science, Music, Tabla and Drawing.
