
NEW DELHI, July 12: The Central Electricity Authority (CEA) has given the techno-economic clearance for two power projects totalling Rs 2933 crore including that of the Suratgargh Phase-II thermal power project in Rajasthan.
The Rs 2057 crore Suratgargh Project is promoted by the Rajasthan State Electricity Board and would have a total installed capacity of 500 mw. It said the Rajasthan state government would bring in Rs 750 crore while the remaining amount would be tied up through loans from Power Finance Corporation, FIs and other lending agencies.
CEA has also given the tec for the Rs 876 crore Parli Thermal extension stage-I power project in Maharashtra.
