CHANDIGARH, Dec 14: Union Government has allotted funds for the works on the Dashmesh Academy of Martial Sports as a part of the celebrations of the tercentenary year of the Khalsa. This was announced on the occasion of meeting of the Anandpur Sahib Urban Planning and Development Authority held here today.

Chief Minister stated that he had spoken to the Union Railway Minister asking him to start special trains to Anandpur Sahib apart from extending Shatabdi Express for about 10 days during the celebrations of the tercentenary of the Khalsa. He also directed

officials to launch a website and Internet services from Anandpur Sahib.

Work on the construction of bridges and new sewerage lines is expected to be completed by February 28. Apart from this, a 132 KV sub station is also being set up. Jathedar Keshgarh Sahib Prof Manjit Singh, Chief Secretary R.S. Mann, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister R.I. Singh, Principal Secretary, Housing and Urban Development I.S. Bindra and Vini Mahajan, administrator, Anandpur Sahib Urban Planning and Development Authority (ASUDA), were among those present on the occasion.
