December 18: A century, a hat-trick and good all-round performances were the highlights of the pre-quarter-finals of the Harris Shield Inter-School cricket tournament, sponsored by Thums-up on Wednesday.

Onkar Khanvilkar of Shardashram (Marathi) scored an unbeaten 133 in his side’s total of 305 for eight against St Xavier’s, Nerul. He then went on take six wickets for 38 runs with his off-spin and that helped Shardashram to bowl out their rivals for 95.

Mumbai under-16 captain Arjun Mestry (67 and 3-17) also gave a good all-round performance in Shardashram’s victory.

Balmohan Vidyamandir’s off-spinner Sanket Chitre recorded a hat-trick while capturing seven wickets of St Sebastian. He returned remarkable figures of 6-3-3-7.

Aziz Shaikh’s all-round display (five for 64 and 62 n.o.) was instrumental in Anjuman-I-Islam’s victory over Don Bosco.
