SBI announces winners of Hindi contestsThe local head office of the State Bank of India has announced the winners of various Hindi competitions conducted by the bank during September, which was observed as Rajbhasha Maas. In the Hindi essay contest Rajkumar Ranga, Vinod Gaba and Manohar Lal and Promila Gupta stood first, second, third and fourth respectively. On October 8, the union will agitate against the decision and march from the Horticulture Wing's Sector 23 office to the Municipal Corporation office.Morcha warns against defamatory lettersThe local chapter of the Bhartiya Janata Yuva Morcha has cautioned residents of Charan Singh Colony against appending their signatures on any blank paper. In a note released to the press by the morcha's general secretary, Shambhu Banerjee, the organisation accused certain persons of collecting such signatures and then writing letters defaming the Morcha. He warned that the Morcha would take legal action against the persons behind the fraudulent letters.
